Lagos Life FAQ: Short Answers, With the Source and the Date

Lagos Life is free, it runs in a browser at lagoslife.app, and there is nothing to download. Rent comes out every Saturday. The money some players lost in the first week was real, and the team cleared the hacked balances instead of deleting accounts. The table below answers seventeen more questions in one line each, with where we checked and on what date.

lagoslifes.wiki is an independent fan guide. We did not build Lagos Life, we are not affiliated with the developer or with Eliy, and nothing below is an official announcement.

The date is doing real work here. The official publishes no FAQ, no patch notes and no announcements — /faq, /guide, /how-to-play, /news, /changelog, /updates and /support all returned 404 when we checked on 2026-10-06. When something changes, the site itself is the official source.

That is the yellow danfo the game borrows its name from, photographed on a real Lagos street — not a frame from the game.

The quick answers

Official source: Lagos Life Terms of Service — "Lagos Life is an online life-simulation game run by Eliy (eliysites.com)." The page carries "Last updated 1 October 2026".

How we checked, and why this site publishes no salary table

Live figures come from the official endpoint, always with the timestamp. The landing page runs a second, differently-computed counter that read lower than the endpoint at the same moment, and the developer has never defined what these fields mean — so this page quotes no visit figure at all, and never presents one online number as the other. The measurement problem is explained in player count and live stats.

Anything inside the game is reported as "not verifiable from outside". The data endpoints need a login and we do not create accounts to read them, which is why no Lagos Life guide from us carries a salary table, a price list or a place count. If a rival guide hands you 21 careers with pay for each, ask where that came from.

Getting in without getting caught

Type lagoslife.app yourself, in a fresh tab. Never take an "official link" from a DM, a comment, a group chat or a video description; the address bar is the only thing another person cannot fake for you. The lagoslife.eliysites.com mirror is genuinely official — the Terms name that operator's domain — but .app is canonical. And the billboards inside the game are real businesses paying to be there, which is why the Terms say links open sites the operator does not run.

The full domain map, including which lookalikes are parked pages waiting to be sold to someone else, is on our official link page. Why there is no app to download is on do you need to download Lagos Life; the known scams are on is Lagos Life safe.

Saturday is the day your money leaves

Rent is a weekly charge, not a drip, and the game says so before you sign a lease. It is not the only line that day: staff wages, business upkeep, danfo fleet costs and private jet bills settle on the same cycle. A Nepo start is the exception — the game states rent is paid by "daddy" until your starting cash is worked off. If a number you did not expect dropped, this is usually why; the mechanics are on rent in Lagos Life is due every Saturday.

The week the money disappeared

Within days of the 1 October 2026 launch, players were printing balances the game should not have allowed. The team wiped the exploited funds, restored legitimate balances, and moved balance checks and bet settlement onto the server; a brief outage on 2 October was followed by the developer giving every player ₦100,000 in virtual cash as an apology, according to TechPoint Africa. Arise News reported the same reset at the time. With no changelog, press coverage and current behaviour are the only record: our money hack page lays out the timeline, and income tax and the economy covers what the game charges now.

What is still unconfirmed as of 2026-10-06

The fastest way to give a player a wrong answer about a game this young is to fill a gap with a plausible story. Here is every gap we found.

Answers that move every week

• The online counter. It changes every few seconds; read it yourself at the public endpoint.
• The weekly rule. Five policies rotate through the banner — transport subsidy, minimum wage raise, owambe season, food subsidy, steady light. Only that week's landing page shows which is live: weekly events.
• Advertising prices. The official advertising page moved inside one week in October 2026, so any ad price you read is true of the week it was checked.

FAQ

Which Lagos Life link should I bookmark? https://lagoslife.app. lagoslife.eliysites.com is the same game on the operator's other domain. Everything else carrying the name is a guide, a placeholder, or a trap.

Is it free, or free to start? Free to play, no paywall on the game itself. Real money is optional and buys in-game naira only, which the Terms say cannot be cashed out, sold, or transferred outside the game.

Do I need an account before I can see anything? No. The landing page, the world board and the weekly banner are visible without one. Signing up is what puts you in the world as a character.

My balance dropped and no bill screen explained it. Now what? If it happened in the first week after launch, it is most likely the post-exploit wipe rather than a Saturday bill. Message @shallyr inside the game — the channel named in the Terms. There is no published appeal form.

How do I know a guide like this one is not the official one? The official is lagoslife.app and nothing else. Every guide, including this one, is third-party.
